It all depends on the tour you choose. A classic tour can last 2 or 3 hours. However, the best to discover will be a full day trip with a driver.
Marseille is quite big and it's better to discover with a driver if you wish a general overview. Aix en Provence is lovely to discover walking. Many small villages like Menerbes or Bonnieux may be difficult for people with walking issues.
